Harmony Road Music Preparatory Classes

After much research, we chose the Harmony Road curriculum for our toddler classes because the classes are designed to not only be fun, but also help students begin building a strong foundation of musical knowledge. This is the only curriculum we could find that effectively teaches critical musical skills at such a young age.

These group lessons involve a variety of music activities designed to teach the fundamentals of music including:

how to read music
how to play the piano by the age of 5
singing and solfege
pitch and ear training
rhythm and beats
music creation and composing

These activity based classes require parent participation and offer a great opportunity to bond with your child or grandchild. The curriculum is broken into three major strands:

TODDLER TUNES (for ages 2 - 3)
MUSIC IN ME (for ages 3 - 4)
MUSIC TIME (for ages 4 - 5)

Like all of our group classes, the tuition for these toddler classes is $80 per month. The classes meet once each week at our school but because the materials and CDs are available for purchase, most of the activities done in class can be repeated at home.

Because numerous studies have shown the clear correlation between early music exposure and increased development of the brain and improved academic performance, we hope that these classes provide the children in the community a great learning experience that will benefit them throughout their lives.
