Clarinet Faculty

Erin Finkelstein
Ms. Finkelstein has been a guest lecturer of clarinet at the University of the Pacific and has given clarinet master classes to hundreds of individuals and in public K-12 schools across the West Coast. She currently freelances with the Sacramento, Stockton, and Modesto Symphony Orchestras and the Sierra Chamber Ensemble. Ms. Finkelstein is also in the process of completing her training as a Feldenkrais® Practitioner and is currently certified to teach Awareness Through Movement®. This is a method of somatic education that teaches any people, including musicians and artists, how to prepare, use, and listen to their bodies to avoid repetitive motion injuries and to enhance functioning.

Ms. Finkelstein earned her Master’s Degree in Clarinet Performance from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of the Pacific. She has also studied at the Mannes College of Music in New York City.
